I LOVE the rice cooker! It’s the best example of simple physics : it’s literally a pot, a heating element and a magnet. That’s it. No electronics. No sensors. Nothing. How does it work??? Physics ! 🧵
My real discourse is that everyone should own a rice cooker, its amazing.

As a human being you have the right to be able to understand the world. That is why education is so important.

Any technology that hinders your understanding (even if it seemingly gives you capabilities) is deeply in- and anti-humane.

Don't know how I went this long without discovering the "physics" package for latex, it's almost magic in how much it simplifies stuff

For me it's already worth it to not have to do \left\{ \right\} or any of their size-fixed buddies anymore, but the derivatives and operators are also amazing

obsidian team putting in the good work, BANGER sequence with this and the CLI right after each other
Obsidian Sync now has a headless client, so you can sync vaults to a server without using the desktop app.

Sometimes I'm like "Notion takes >10s to open, annoying but I won't worry about it"

But in this very moment I'm going "if I manually set a path for my snippets folder when lazy-loading a plugin, neovim doesn't have to scan all folders in the runtimepath and saves me a few miliseconds at startup"

Physicists won't tell you this but if you Fourier transform the Kama Sutra you can get all the sex momenta

With this and my nvim setup for writing LaTeX documents, I'm never opening any other program other than the terminal
Anything you can do in Obsidian you can do from the command line.

Obsidian CLI is now available in 1.12 (early access).

You are not more likely to be killed by a coconut than a shark. This is a statistical error.

Coconuts Georg, who lives under a coconut tree and is killed by 10,000 coconuts a year is an outlier and should not have been counted.

Humans are very weird and mostly do things because the people around them do them. This is true for me and you and everyone.

Interpreting bland, default human weirdnesses as repugnant, intentional immoralities will 100% make you miserable while alienating people from your ideas.

Status update: I think I spent more time tweaking my neovim config than actually coding on my new projects

I previously used it only for LaTeX (incredible stuff btw, live previews with zathura etc etc) and simple python scripts, but now that I'm using it for c++ I'm adding a lot more stuff to it
Coming back to c++ after some years of doing basically just python (and other higher-level languages like julia and lua), and I just love the switch/case statement.

I know the behaviour can be easily implemented in all languages with similar syntax, but idk there's something about it.
