I've walked past this building on Wilson Street in Glasgow many times without ever giving it too much thought until today. However, it's a beautifully proportioned building and it's also surprisingly old, having been built around 1790.

The many ways in which Farage’s giant crybaby byelection stunt is backfiring:
•the focus on his frenzied grifting intensifies
•he can’t claim a meaningful win
And, best of all…
•”the impact is lessened when the only other candidate is wearing a dustbin on his head”

A tailorbird is a bird known for its remarkable ability to sew leaves together to create a nest. This process involves puncturing the edges of leaves and using plant fibers to stitch them together, creating a sturdy and camouflaged nest that protects the chicks from predators.

The irony is insane: Trump reportedly stepped in to save US soccer star Folarin Balogun from a FIFA ban—a player who only has US citizenship because Trump’s birthright executive order was struck down by the Supreme Court days ago. 🤯

You can't make this up. Details: 👇 #trump #worldcup
Why reports Trump pressed FIFA to overturn a decision are so alarming
Sport has also always been political. But if reports Trump has wielded political power to change on-field decisions are true, it signals a dangerous precedent.

While I'm a big fan of USA winning a soccer match,I'm very disturbed that our POTUS has put his thumb on the scale. If the U.S. does win the match, the rest of the world will see us as cheaters forever. Referees' decisions are checked during a game, not undone afterward.Sorry if this offends anyone.

Just in: the Belgian Federation has decided to formally challenge FIFA's red card reversal for Folarin Balogun.

The federation accuses FIFA of refusing to respond to its "legitimate requests" and creating an appeal process that was "immediately declared inadmissible".

Farage is done.
He simply cannot become PM.
He’s a ragingly greedy, corrupt, national security risk.
We aren’t America.
Anyone shouting “witchhunt” on this just looks like an idiot.
