This is what drove me to leave academia. It’s fine to criticize others’ works, but what Wilson is essentially saying here is that Nolan didn’t make the movie she would have made. That is not a helpful premise for criticism.

Also, Wilson comes off as having a political vendetta against Nolan.
In Christopher Nolan’s “Odyssey,” viewers see inside the Trojan horse, but they “do not see inside the characters or their world,” Emily Wilson argues.
A Trojan Horse Is Supposed to Have Humans Inside It
Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey is full of contradictions about deceit and violence.

Donald Trump stands out historically in one way. He has demilitarized the US military more quickly than any other political leader in US history.

A full blown pacifist would have struggled to throw away weapons faster than he has.

Never understood why commentators who vociferously profess to care about Israel's safety have failed to see how damaging Netanyahu's strategy is.
Enten on the 67 point swing (!!!) against Israel among Americans: "We're not just talking about the Democratic base anymore. The general electorate has turned against Israel. This is not just a left issue. It's an American issue. The trend line is unbelievable."

I am Ronaldo Salgado, the oldest son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He should've been picking up the last of his guys before heading to finish up construction. Unbeknownst to all of us, my dad had been shot inside his van by ICE agents in unmarked cars.

Spain and Portugal are stepping up scrutiny of their soaring property markets amid early signs of overheating, but supervisors are unlikely to intervene heavily yet, with the market some way from resembling past boom and busts.
