Since 2021, a former dredging site in Cheshire has been transformed into a network of freshwater pools and reedbeds. It's now home to almost two-thirds of the UK's breeding black-necked grebes, one of the UK's rarest breeding birds.

Given a chance, nature bounces back.

Now THIS is incredible. 26 decommissioned wind turbines from Scotland's first commercial wind farm were - wait for it - 99.9% recycled? Less than 0.1% of their materials into landfill:

But surely our DOGE team was going to find tons of savings and loads of lazy people to sack, then reduce council tax?
Now it turns out they are launching a public consultation on council tax increases.

The abuse directed towards RNLI volunteers is horrendous.

Good work.

My great-grandmother was Romani. Born in the 1880s as part of an established community.
Yesterday under a very thin veil, Reform councillors brought a motion to council to attack another marginalised community.
Gypsy, Roma and the Travelling community already face discrimination at all levels of society.
Instead of demonising them we need solutions.

Never flown Ryanair. Never will.
If you're even having to have an argument over whether your passenger was truly 'sucked out of the window', you've perhaps not provided perfect service as an airline.
How do you even say 'towards the window' with a straight face

Neither of these statements makes any sense whatsoever...

"You seem to be just looking at the negatives of [the slave trade] which is of course appalling, but we do have to say about a positive side...we ended it. Don't you accept that?"

No 10: "It's difficult to acknowledge the positive side of the transatlantic slave trade."
