Good morning from dark fantasy Yorkshire. The kettle is on. We have a street called St Sepulchre Gate, as a & teen I devised a whole story about a hidden sepulchre underneath the city which had grown up & the gate that allowed access. & that’s pretty much how my imagination works.

The UK and Europe need to return fully to long-term thinking. We need governments willing to plan for 10, 20 or 30 years, not just the next election. Energy, defence, housing, infrastructure and productivity demand serious long-term strategy.
