I don't have much personal attachment to Ocarina but it still feels wholly nostalgic to me as THE video game of its era for a really long time. Growing up as a Gamecube kid, every game on every console of that gen feels like it was all in Ocarina's shadow. I think the remake looks cool, honestly!

The value of Graham Platner is that right up until all his red flags came toppling down upon him is that he is the most naked example of the amount of grace & credibility Simply Being White grants you. Compared to Abdul El-Sayed, who has to re-earn every ounce of credibility he has on a daily basis.

This is actually my largest anti-AI talking point. Anytime someone shows me or tells me how impressive the tech is I sit and say “sure, but how does that really improve daily life?” Smartphones gave me the internet in my hand, iPods instant music access—what is AI doing that makes life feel better?

The older I get the more I appreciate the simple satisfaction of someone who can write a damn good song. Dolly wrote about a thousand, but frankly, she could have JUST written Jolene and she'd have been in the pantheon. What a song, what a musician, what a career, what a class act.

The Departed. I find it to be really choppy and blunt and it never impresses me like Scorsese's best. Also not helped by my first watching experience being directly after Goodfellas--a much better movie. If Mark Wahlberg is giving the best performance in your movie, I think that is a problem
