Another amusing twist if you've had the news on in the background is all the Labour Right aligned MPs suddenly coming out and panicking about how their colleagues openly criticising the leader is helping their opponents. Curious. Intriguing. I'm loving it tbh.

I’ve been hearing so much anger and disappointment from frontline workers about the BBC investigation into fraudulent asylum claims.
One of the most damning responses has come from one of the experts they interviewed, solicitor Ana Gonzalez. It’s really worth reading her response in full:

Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.

And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.

if you go look at the ‘centrist’( right wing but embarrassed about it ) crowd they’re all busy desperately trying to smear corbyn while claiming they’re unhappy with starmer but ‘what can ya do? 🤷‍♀️’.

i wish they’d jus admit that they’re right wingers.

Do you notice how - again and again, in story after story - the common factor is “obviously horrible but wealthy and important people, angrily demanding total freedom to behave as horrendously as they want, and the media/political system opening wide to give them everything that they demand”?

My "favorite" Kessler "fact check" was when he called Bernie Sanders a liar for correctly noting that "Three people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America." Kessler's argument was that it doesn't count because "people in the bottom half have essentially no wealth."

i hate the game politicians play where they back israel 100% until it starts killing too many people too fast, then they start calling for peace until the killing slows to levels acceptable for them. they're not opposing genocide, they're negotiating how quickly it should proceed

This is also very evident in that clip with Bastani and Goodwin currently doing the rounds. The reason Matt can't defend his hipocrisy on Israel is because the only driver of his performative support is his dislike of Muslims, which he (as of yet) can't quite say on TV
Pretty much all support for Israel is driven by anti-Muslim hatred. You'll notice nobody talks about Israel being a functional democracy, or a beacon for gay rights, or even a nice place to go on holiday. Ask a supporter follow up questions and it wont take long before they bleat about Burqas

Labour MPs saying “the clue is in the name” to justify benefit cuts is wildly disingenuous. It co-opts Labour’s history to imply all those that cannot physically labour are somehow excluded from the cause. Being pro-worker does not require being anti-unemployed or anti-disabled. It never did.
