Slightly put out by the fact that my wonderful dentist of 20+ years (and Covid safe for the past 6) has retired. I only found this out when I got to the dental surgery today, for my routine checkup. The only mitigation? The new dentist was masked (FFP3).

Currently ensconced in my new book nook, delecting this for the third time. Now I've seen The Favourite, I'm convinced this wonderful book was amongst the inspiration for it.

Just finished this wonderfully-written, gorgeous book, for the second time. And now I feel bereft of David's company and spirit. What a talented soul he was, his work exquisite. But cruelly, MND took that away from him and he died in 2019. I highly recommend this book, old as it is.
