I wore a Holter monitor for 72 hours and my cardiologist was impressed with all of the workouts I do to keep my heart rate above 110 BPM 3x per day.

I tried to explain to him that's just me standing in the kitchen making something to eat.

→It's orthostatic intolerance. He didn't want to hear it. 😕

Letzten Sonntag stand bei mir Klassentreffen an. 40 Jahre nach dem Abitur. Hab eine längere Mail geschrieben, warum ich nicht hinkommen kann. Keine Reaktion.
Man fällt so aus der Gesellschaft heraus.

A large study of nearly 500,000 adults found taking Paxlovid within 5 days of COVID-19 infection was linked to a 12% lower risk of Long COVID in high-risk adults.

That's around 3 fewer Long COVID cases per 100 people treated.

For lower-risk adults, researchers found no clear reduction in risk.

Today I stepped up to working 5 hours a day, and I'm knackered but pleased. It's taken me 28 months since my original infection to recover enough to work 2/3 time. Keep on protecting yourselves however works for you, folks. ♥️ #LongCOVID

Front-page of The Vancouver Sun: Long COVID patients want virtual care funds restored. (Not my photo)

Awesome to see this continued coverage of the MSP billing code policy change impacting virtual Group Medical Visits (and a local clinic of over 8500+ patients)

there should be a shock collar for doctors who tell you to add exercise when you're already at your physical limit and having to skip essentials like showering #mecfs #longCovid

My cardiac unit used to reliably be age 55+ but now we pretty much always have people in their 30’s and 40’s and if you ask me it isn’t a secret why that is 😩
A review of 110 studies suggests Long COVID may accelerate biological aging and cardiovascular disease in younger adults.

Persistent viral RNA and immune activation may drive chronic inflammation, vascular damage, and cellular dysfunction.

#Covid is being forgotten in America...by peers and providers. Those of us with #LongCovid have been abandoned.

Did COVID play a role in Senator Murphy’s recent stroke after infections in 2022 and 2023?

Probably.

I've been having periodic pin-point headaches since 2024. Reading materials in my field triggers intense pain above my left eye.

There are joys in my life but I have lowkey wanted to die since I got longcovid. It waxes and wanes but it never leaves me entirely.

Great 🧵. Those of us with #LongCovid understand all too well that #CovidIsNotOver.
1. The bottom line: SARS-CoV-2 only emerged in late 2019. No-one can know the long-term effects of repeated infections, but with anosmia and cognitive dysfunction as common symptoms, the assumption I make is that there is a tsunami of early-onset neurocognitive diseases coming.

Do your #LongCOVID symptoms sound like what this physician is describing?

Heart palpitations?
Exhaustion?
Sluggishness?

Will a 20-minute walk help?
Or will it cause you hours of intense exhaustion?

This makes me so sad I can’t even bear to respond #LongCovid
How long did it take for your covid exhaustion to go away?
