Gamers being gamers. I remember in the early aughts going on Xbox live to play halo 2 and shit was bad then. Nothing has changed. It was bad enough that I stopped playing online games with rando permanently.

That looks like Steam community forums. I've never seen a bigger cesspit than that place, but yeah it's disturbing to see furries engage in it.

He uses the strategy of “any publicity is good publicity”, and it’s proven to be unreasonably effective. I actually do think he should be deplatformed. Neither his face nor his words specifically should ever be broadcast. That should have been adopted back in January of last year.

Yeah that may happen. If Netanyahu is replaced nothing will change, but the American press will use it as an opportunity to try to launder the image of the genocidal state.

I’m a bread person and god am I jealous of Europe. Bread culture in this country is awful. You have to live in a big city to have access to passable bread.

Polling is pretty consistent: somewhere between 80 and 90% of the adult Israeli population are fanatical Nazis dedicated to the extermination of the Palestinians.

To the extent Netanyahu is unpopular in Israel, it’s because Israelis want someone more extreme and genocidal, like Ben Gvir.
Netanyahu is a deeply corrupt and narcissistic asshole like Trump. 20+ years of holding the highest office will probably do that to almost anyone.

It’s also worth saying that it’s known that the mossad colluded with the Trump campaign in 2016 although the exact details are still murky. The influence is bidirectional but it now seems more like Israel and the Israeli lobby being more dominant compared to “American” interests.

Yet when Israeli politicians boast that they want to start wars of extermination against Turkey and Egypt and have the US do it for them, there’s not a peep in Washington. Something is profoundly broken here and it now seems undeniably ideological capture.

Arguably this is highly irrational. Israel provides little to nothing to the US strategically. Turkey and Egypt have more powerful militaries in the last resort and each occupies a more important position geographically.

The chicken and the egg issue is an interesting one. Israel did not seem to exert much influence on US policy until during/after Nixon’s presidency, and its increased to the point where some Congressmen boast their only concern is Israel’s national interests.

Yeah, it was a huge relief, especially because the first doctor I saw at urgent care thought it was my appendix.
The crazy thing is that it was a small kidney stone. If this was a small one, I can't even imagine the agony that a large one would be. This was already pretty unbearable.
