I'm 56. Racism was everywhere when I was a kid. People just did it, without comment. Normalised.

In the 90s political correctness (later: Woke) appeared, and racism withdrew. I'm not saying it vanished. But by 2015, it was socially unacceptable, even in the rough areas I grew up in.
