This administration would be so funny if it wasn’t so historically embarrassing and destructive.

Canada?
Trump: "The Houthis called us. They don't want to fight with us. They let us know they don't want to fight with us. They don't want us to go after them. They would much prefer not having us involved, and they are letting most ships go through. There's just one country they're not too happy with."

Barry "The Mullet" Melrose... I loved watching the Canadiens beat his kings for the cup in 93, but there was no better hockey analyst. A great loss.

Among a long list of contenders, this is the dumbest, least informed, least in touch with reality thing this administration has done.
President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v
Trump Moves to Cut Off Student Loans for Tons of Degrees
Under a new rule, if your degree doesn’t make enough money, you won’t be able to get a student loan.

This is undoubtedly an "AI can do that" decision because Microsoft has no institutional ability to learn from mistakes.
Jesus... I knew it was bad, but wiping out almost all of Id Software's coders - the most experienced engine coders and optimizers in the entire business - is ABSOLUTELY INSANE.
“Most, if not all,” of Id Software’s coders, 60-70 Obsidian developers, and more veteran developers have reportedly been laid off from Microsoft as the scale of this week’s big Xbox cuts becomes clearer.

This guy perfectly sums up the Republican refusal to acknowledge reality.
Sen. Roger Marshall: "53 Republicans senator, you're gonna find 53 opinions. We're very strong willed, typically top of our class type of folks. So we've got opinions. And the hope is, the debate within us, we take 2+2 and turn it into 8."

Good morning. I profiled Amy Wallace, the only sibling of David Foster Wallace. I don't think you need to know much about David (or his work) to understand how his sister saw him — and how he loved her.
This is the longest story I have ever written. It is also the most meaningful. It will go out in The Small Bow's newsletter tomorrow. You can read it here now: www.thesmallbow.com/p/consider-t...
Consider the Sister
Amy Wallace has spent two decades guarding the human her brother was—against a world that prefers David Foster Wallace as a puzzle.
