Transition Team (the transportation company on site who contracts with MPS) has been trying to work with the city to expand their business and clean up the site for a couple years, but the city has other ideas 🧐
whiting says city will be required to do quite a bit of environmental mitigation due to the condition of the site having once stored diesel school buses

Apartments CM didn’t mention: City Limits (17 buildings owned by large landlord in US), Renew apartments on Lyndale, Windom Gables, and the hidden Wexon Commons that’s only accessible via 62nd st. Cop city would be in the center of the homes of the poorest families in Windom neighborhood.

💥 The Minneapolis City Council voted on March 26 to delay a vote to allocate $6 million to purchase the property.

💥 The City would need to procure state funding to realize this $38 million project.
