I think what some people miss is that every important institution in the U.S. is corrupted, compromised, or broken. Our politics are a sick joke. We effectively have no real opposition party and we have a prior-dictator. Our society is failing. Fast.

And I don't hear Democrats saying that ICE must be abolished. Or even clearly calling for significant reform. Nor do I detect Democratic commitments to address corruption, try to stop the stupid war against Iran, work to defend U.S. alliances, or reverse the anti-public health moves of the regime.

I prioritize the environment when I choose the candidate for whom to vote. And I'm hearing almost nothing from Democrats about what they'll do to repair the catastrophic Trump public lands decisions and his regime's gutting of the Clean Air Act.

Mark Kelly. Jon Ossoff. Chris Van Hollen. Three good candidates for president. There are others, too.

A legal loophole allows the government to sell mustangs on the cheap, stripping them of protections and clearing their path to destruction.

The U.S. betrays another ally.
For the first time in US history, America betrays South Korea, one of our closest allies for over 75 years. These exercises in various forms have taken place every year since 1974.

Colorado's federal judges have found immigration judge Bobbie Masters violated their orders in at least four cases. An ex-immigration attorney-turned ICE lawyer, Masters credited an error-riddled arrest form and dubious ICE narrative to deny one man bond:

Maybe the American people are beginning to realize that the Supreme Court is not a court, as @espinsegall.bsky.social has long maintained, but is instead a fundamentally political institution. And, under John Roberts' leadership as chief justice, it has become an overtly partisan agent of the GOP.

True
"I understand journalists want to be neutral. But if you're a journalist in the US, you have an obligation to be biased— in favor of democracy. And Trump is anti-democratic... The longer the press pretends that Trump is not an enemy of their profession, the more runway he has to undermine them."

Trump wants to deport half the Dodgers' fans. And he is a racist, too, so every player on that team who is not white is subject to Trump's hate and scorn. Why the hell would you go the White House and meet with him?
The Los Angeles Dodgers' Dave Roberts and Mike Walter are with Trump. Shohei is in attendance too.

Our sociopathic president lacks the capacity for grief. I mean, seriously, he buried his ex-wife on a golf course.
oh, come on — “Grieving”!

Jared Polis is a disgrace. He knows that the prosperity of Northern Europe, etc., where democratic socialism prevails, is quite high. This is yet another of his feints to the right. I would not be surprised to see him literally switch parties and become Republican.
Colorado Gov Jared Polis (D) is getting attention from the Right for his recent criticism of Democratic Socialists.

“Socialism is a failed economic theory,” Polis told FOX’s Sean Hannity tonight. “I think it’s important to talk about the dangers of socialism.”

We need a Colorado CDC. And a Colorado version of EPA, which DPHE is not.
The CDC went from 11 cyclospora experts to three, has no permanent leaders in 80% of senior roles, and just surpassed last year's measles count. Former top officials say we are less prepared for a pandemic than before Covid. RFK Jr. is overruling the science in real time.
