@imdouglynch.bsky.social 80bee.com looks really cool, should it work on a Pixel 10? I get stuck here - USB debugging is enabled on the phone and works with ADB. I get the Chrome WebUSB popup where I select Pixel 10 but then no USB Debugging prompt on the phone. Already did adb kill-server.

A major danger of LLMs is that humans are SO predisposed to attribute knowledge to any entity that uses natural language fluently. We cannot imagine that a machine that outputs natural-seeming speech/text doesn't have cognition. Brilliantly articulated by @emilymbender.bsky.social et al. (2021).

For extra context, NCMEC runs the massive hashed database of CSAM that companies use to detect it on their platforms. If NCMEC were shut down, CSAM would proliferate everywhere. Not hard to see why the far right would want that while pinning blame on trans people.
New — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that they'd lose their funding if the org didn't remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, I've learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.
