'These small boats are *constantly* coming across. An invasion! Let's make an app to show the sheer scale of the problem, then Britain will wake up.'

'Oh... it turns out there aren't that many.'

Never believe your own BS. And yet the Right do this a lot.
Reform have launched an app & game for real-time tracking of boats crossing the channel. But some supporters have said it is boring because so little happens.

There were 3 boats in last 7 days

keep denying they are racists
they keep on
- accepting money from millionaires
- proposing as Councillor candidates
- welcoming as members
people who proudly, blatantly are racist

I’ve reached the point - well actually, I reached it a while ago - where I’m militantly anti-AI. Fine - use it in bioscience labs and radiology where it might help analyse data more effectively. Use it sparingly for systems engineering. Everywhere else, it can fuck off.

I am bloody proud to be an #RNLI supporter and member! These brilliant men and women have quite enough to cope with without being harassed by the scum of the earth.

Their only concern is to help people in danger at sea - not check passports first! Which is how it should be.

Please RT if you agree🙏
Over on X, the far-right British Patriots have launched a hate campaign against the RNLI

They are recording RNLI volunteers in order to dox them, reveal their identities and publish details of where they and their families live

There's a lot here to be sickened by, but for some reason the "do you understand what's happening?" really got me.

What's happening, Zia?

Explain it to us. Use your words. Say it out loud.

No no, not "wink wink, nudge nudge, you know..."

Why is it a problem she's nominated?

Say it, coward.
Zia Yusuf has tweeted this about the leader of Camden Council, Sagal Abdi-Wali, who has lived in Camden for over 35 years, after arriving as a child refugee in the early 1990s.

Hugely courageous move by @zackpolanski.bsky.social.

It's the Burnham honeymoon, so obviously it's a challenge.

But an insurgent by-election campaign could expose Labour for changing only its style, not its substance.

This is Holborn and St. Pancras' chance to send Labour a message...

The Telegraph reports that the "Markets turn on Burnham". The Telegraph is a tabloid disguised as a broadsheet. Now when the meerkats turn, that would be news

De Gaulle: Résistance

A powerful account of Charles de Gaulle's journey during World War II, from his rise as a military leader to his emergence in French politics between 1940 and 1945.

The direction, acting, and attention to detail were excellent. It was good to see this well attended.

A couple of shots from today's Barons' War games at Tabletop Republic in High Wycombe. I got caught up in the action so forgot to take any more

Two games with 500 point retinues. The open terrain meant archers dominated the initial turns until the Knights and Sergeants got into the fray.

I'm not sure whose jurisdiction this is but isn't Voi supposed to penalise misparking of their scooters?

Despite numerous reports to Voi they don't seem to take any action.
