We've got a Muslim man running the most multicultural city in the world and making space for all the people in it. That's what cultural victory over fundamentalism looks like, it's a shame that there's a part of the population that couldn't identify a cultural victory if it slapped them in the face.
My take is that having a Muslim immigrant preside over ceremonies commemorating 9/11 in New York City is one of the beautiful things about America.

I know this is a common belief, but it’s not true. If people went anti-vaxx/MAHA because they were excluded from the medical establishment, we would see sky-high rates among poor people, minorities and the uninsured. We don’t.
