OK, so the thing I don't like specifically about USB for this kind of application (brain computer interface) is that it's not invasive enough. There's not enough to hold on to.

There's some relation with this and that. I can't quite place it, but this has a single black and white CRT display that is refracted using a set of prisms and uses blocking to display a full color image.
