Ooh, and maybe the Doctor can solve a problem without resorting to their reputation as The Most Important Person In The Universe, and their companion can be someone ordinary whose identity is more than A Mystery That Needs To Be Solved.
Maybe next time the Doctor/companion could attempt to achieve something, placing them in dramatic tension with some kind of antagonist, and their reactions to adversity could tell us something about them / the human experience. OR just do another season of Four People Say Things In a Room.
The BBC has launched a tender process for 'Doctor Who,' calling on producers to pitch a "brave" new vision for the iconic sci-fi series.

My 2023-27 Read All Of Stephen King Project has been extended by at least two years because it turns out reading that much Stephen King is kind of exhausting.

Thank frog I don't have a podcast.

In this novel by the iconic French feminist theorist, a woman replays her abandonment by her mother, who is sometimes addressed as a male mother-god.

in my 20s I invented a game called Hell Triathlon, where you had to take the three things in the world you hate the most and merge them into some kind of Olympic event

for YEARS mine was “eating bananas while riding a tandem bicycle, listening to someone who thinks The Da Vinci Code is real”

Why, yes, your email did indeed find me well, unusually well, in fact, because you see I have recently come into possession of a very fine cask of amontillado wine. If you would kindly reserve your place on the outlook calendar to come and view it in my unorthodox cellar arrangement…

Hear me out: Joker.

New director, new actor, new setting, new style, new origin story. Repeat another 4 or 5 times, then do a new Batman vs Joker movie with a different Joker in each scene.
Name a film you'd like to remake.

The fact we have an executive class that doesn't know what to do with the Looney Tunes or The Muppets really sums up what a joyless, barren world they inhabit.
There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival.

Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on.

My Prequel fix: angry teenaged Anakin is the one to chop Maul in half at the end of Episode I. He blows up the droid ship, senses Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are in trouble, races back, finds one mortally wounded and the other dangling in the pit, and brutally kills Maul with no hesitation. (He gets better)
Anakin is Luke's age and Darth Maul is the main antagonist in all three films, is my two changes. Anakin is the one who cuts Maul in half, Maul returns with a mechanical lower body in Episode II, and they spend the rest of the trilogy hacking away at each other until there's almost nothing left.

i have thought maybe more than is reasonable about how i would fix the prequels and this is my first and most important change: anakin is luke’s age. bsky.app/profile/theb...
I've always thought he should have had Anakin be like 15 or 16 instead, part of a blended family with Owen Lars as his stepbrother, and he just goes with them after using the Pod Race winnings to help them out. That would make him leaving behind his mother much less weird.
