For me, Alpha Protocol comes to mind. Almost the quintessential early Obsidian game. Deeply ambitious, good story, but hey, in our big spy game the stealth skill just isn’t going to work. At all. No matter what you sink into it.
It’s also what I want another installment of, something fierce.

Hey now, I don’t accept that kind of self deprecating humor from someone who took a character I like (Poison Ivy) and exploring her character with refreshing nuance, and taking a character I don’t generally care for (Black Cat) and making her compelling and fun.

That list bit is a fine line to maintain, I feel. When you get a full on “Push the product, get it in their hand” it’s, for me at least, almost more discouraging than the one who ignores your existence.

Me, I’ve loved every Remedy game I’ve played, even Quantum Break and Alan Wake 1.
Why? Even when their gameplay mechanics don’t quite come together, they always swing for the fences. Both in what they try for game play and in what they try for stories.

I remember taking a Celtic Mythology class, and the prof saying the felt the Celts had some of the best warriors of all time. I wanted to counter “what about the Romans?” But stopped myself.

Truth be told, for me at least, that is one of my biggest let downs from Blizzard. Could have been something great.

Seems like a tell to me. I mean, these folks have so inured themselves to saying Democrat party that when they refer to the DSA they call it the Democrat Socialists of America instead of Democratic Socialists of America.
