I hated Trump and what he represented long before he came down that Golden escalator. I found him distasteful before The Apprentice. It felt icky when he donated to Democrats. In fact, my hatred of Trump started in 1989 with his racist ad. I actually felt relieved when he declared Republican.

My Dad paid for his MIT education with ROTC. He came from a wealthy, conservative family that tried to force him to take over the business.
He wanted to be an engineer. Sc.D., Chem E, 1967
He never deployed - finished his time in 1966 just before his unit went to Vietnam.
