this is me getting ready to go out in 100 degree heat to whack weeds. with my lungs as fucked up as they are the mask is a must. oh, and, and aside, both of my lawnmowers are in a state of disassembly from switching engines. if I have the oomp I may put some time into that

today's project: cut pieces of some vinyl flooring I got yesterday for the kitchen table (that's obvious) and the desktop where my new Chromebook is. the question now is whether to glue them down. the table maybe. there's no reason not to if it slides round when cleaning. this desktop? probably not

i'm using the word love a lot lately, I know, but, I do love my murse for my phone. just... perfect. this is today before a run-around in 100 degree heat. the ac in the van isn't charged and even if it was it wouldn't hardly get going on a short run like I do

we're no where near high summer heat yet. (over several days) it's over 100 outside and 85 inside. clothing is optional and with the sheet insulation up on the front door there isn't even the slightest risk if someone comes to the door... and junior can hang free (spot is there on her bottom shelf)

it's officially that time of year... i've moved to my summer kitchen. the computer room. the fan to the attic is up and just out of frame to the left. the two hot plates in the middle are set up to run on a virtual ground. as always, 2 sides of 240, the neutrals cancel each other out. works great.

my improvised head light, tilting to keep it from blinding the camera. i'm changing out that problematic hard drive in my porn computer and putting it into my test machine to REALLY work it out before possibly throwing it away. "never trust it again" limits it's use since i use all my machines now

the finished project. turn the 2x4's 90 degrees to drop down and make the cat shelter that it was be a cat shelter again. it won't be a good place to sit anymore. i'll live. sure will be a good place to work on lawnmowers if it comes to that. my hernia did fine laying down to let it pull back in.
