I have some questions. Is it OK to look, say, a gift crocodile in the mouth? A gift horse but in another orifice? One that's loaned? OK to poke it in the mouth without looking?

Weird. Last night I dreamed I was a contestant on 'University Challenge.' I correctly answered a question on sheep with the word 'merino.' This morning I click on the sports page and the first word I see is Merino, the scorer of Spain's winner against Belgium.

After Trump described Spain and Belgium as "very bad countries, the worst countries in history with very bad people," FIFA annulled their matches and declared USA will play the USA in the quarter-final.

Trying to rescue some old 35mm slides and came across this I took in Malaysia in 1982. Google says Wallace's flying frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus.) Not a frogger so I won't dispute this. #frogs

For goodness sake, leave Mr Farage alone! Which of us hasn't had a gift of £5m. to do what we like with and hasn't told a few fibs to keep the scroungers away?

Some more bugs seen this morning. Spittlebugs, Callitettix versicolor? (I'm intrigued by the variation in pattern and colouration); mating pair of Amata sperbius; a Lamiinae
beetle and a damp Aloa lactinea (red costate tiger moth.) #moths #insects #nature

Cricket courtship from my walk this morning. Probably not the first attempt. I withdrew discretely for them to consummate the act in private. #insects #nature

Overnight rains bring out the moths. Some seen on my morning walks the last few days. 4 posted 2 days ago; 3 from this morning. All pretty common. Macrobrochis gigas, Achaea janata (Erebidae) and Chiasmia Eleonora or nora (Ennominae.) #moths #insects

Always a pleasure to find these tiny moths in the grass after overnight rain. I took advantage of my dogs going off to do dog things to take a few snaps. The brown one is Spoladea recurvalis, not sure about the others. #moths #teammoth
