I prefer the original, it is more organic to the film's narrative. Spielberg's feels over-designed to me, more plastic. Visually striking but distant, less human.

If you go with Officer Krupke (fingers crossed!) be good if you can also get your friends to chant "WE AIN'T NO DELINQUENTS, WE'RE MISUNDERSTOOD!" or something like that.
