My local Walmart still hands out stickers, I got a couple this year. I didn’t watch the video but from a surface level premise I can think of a few fun things I grew up with that don’t exist now but there’s plenty that still do and even more that I’m like “man, I would have loved that as a kid”

Megatouch Saga: I got it, it’s extremely heavy, and I was worried it was broke because last night it was stuck on a black screen. Took the shell off to look inside, was afraid to touch anything because of the CRT, turned it back on without fixing anything and it worked.
My back hurts but I’m happy

I also installed some old WinAmp screensavers that doubled as music visualizers.
I have the little screen attachment for prices, I thought it would be cool to show the current song but never got it working. I got a barcode scanner from Goodwill I wanted to use somehow too but it also never worked

I don’t think I ever shared this because at the time Bluesky didn’t have video support, but I got an old Windows XP POS from work last year and I made it a jukebox with my personal ripped CD collection

No shade to anyone who is diagnosed with autism or ADHD but I keep seeing people say they were in “gifted” classes as a kid, still struggled, just to find out they were undiagnosed or their parents hid it from them.
At 30 I feel like I’d rather just convince myself I was a bit weird and move on

I believe this is it. I almost faked myself out because you have a similar setup on a table at the start but it’s different. I’m in Wisconsin and will be in Illinois the day before VCF, I have no clue what vintage computers go for unfortunately, no where around me sells them and I don’t trust online

I think I saw a computer I had as a kid in the background of the archive tour video, Compaq with speakers that mounted onto the monitor. My monitor is busted, I’m missing the speakers, and the tower is yellowed and on XP as of 2009ish. I’ll skim the video but this is the monitor

Unfortunately some people are proud of it. Local drive-in where I grew up replaced their old, authentic sign with a crappy AI one and the owner detailed the experience he and his daughters had using it in the comments

I just finally deleted the app last night after a string of unnecessary toxicity surrounding Pokémon Bank. I straight up said they are too comfortable being tainted by Twitter. Nearly 18 years spent on that platform just to watch it burn to the ground instead of die from obscurity

The middle one was a birthday gift when I was either 2 or 3, I found the small head ones a few years back all together at a thrift store and since then I’ve seen them pop up a bit more

I’ve apparently started a collection of these fellas. I don’t see them much, I’m not sure if they were only in Wisconsin or what. The tags on the small heads say Shopko which was a Walmart-like chain based out of Green Bay, I haven’t done much research into them aside from the brand being Dan Dee

And there’s nothing wrong with being overweight or struggling with it, but I already have issues finding clothes that fit me because of my height, so fluctuating weight makes that so much worse. Even my hats fit better after I lost weight
