I see this in action every day. And it’s so easy to give students choice. They know what they care about! Let them follow their own curiosity. It’s more fun for me as a teacher too because I get more variety and more enthusiasm.

Feeling very much the same. Everyone should listen to the first season of Blowback if they want a recap of the Gulf Wars. Meanwhile, we need to take back this government.
I am struggling with what might be a generational experience. The gulf war was pretty politically formative for me. It’s not history so much as memory this time.
It is destabilizing to see almost the exact same gameplan but this time without the guardrails that at the time I took for granted.
