It seems kind to not confront old people over their horrible bigoted beliefs. But after they die you have to accept that you didn’t do anything to get them to repent before it was too late.

Had the poor judgement to read a Nextdoor thread about exempting people 60 and older from property taxes. The number of incredibly selfish people making insincere self-serving arguments… ugh.

About a month ago in Klamath NWR, this eagle was sitting on the causeway/road, scanning water on either side. I stopped the car and took a picture, crept forward, picture, again and again. Eventually I opened car door and lowered camera to take picture from road level. #birds #birphotography

This is the worst part. Knowing that people I grew up loving and respecting see all the evil and think it is wonderful. I was so wrong to have ever thought well of them.
/8 And as your fellow Americans — neighbors, colleagues, even family and friends — justify this and even celebrate it, that they would absolutely do the same if you were murdered — only thin circumstance prevents it. Treat and mistrust them accordingly.
