Had a great time this year at the virtual Audiobook Publishers Association Conference. One takeaway was that there was almost no movement on AI narration. The same pubs who were committed to human only narration in 2024 still are; the one that was ambivalent still is.

April Fools Day 1998...always thought it ironic that I picked this day to follow in my grandpa's footsteps and enlist in the Navy at the ripe old age of 25. But it definitely had an effect on me. 🤣

I want to work with writers who avoid AI. Not because it's slop, though it is that. It's because...look, learning this craft took st lot of time, money and effort. I do it because I like to do it. I like the process of creation/discovery. "Real" writers also "get that," ya know?

Time to reintroduce myself! Audiobook narrator here, love reading and working in historical fiction, noir, horror, thrillers, sci-fi and nonfiction. If you're a writer who shuns AI and is looking for an audio partner, link in bio...

A bunch of narrators and authors got together this week under the banner of Human Voices 4 Human Rights in support of the Community Aid Network MN (www.canmn.org). Because human rights are rights, not privileges. Thanks, @elmojedi.bsky.social!

It's not that I was reluctant to say goodbye to 2025, I'm just busy. Thanks to Jim Chambers, Mark A. Rimmer, John Hopkinson, Michael D. Urban, Tumbleweird, and One Audiobooks for trusting me to tell their wonderful stories. Here's to an even more amazing 2026.

Here's a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke to welcome fall. I'm so not ready to wind down the year. Still time this year if you want to work with me to produce your audiobook!

Thrilled to announce this upcoming audiobook coming in late fall 2025! The California Run by Mark A. Rimmer. Two of the most modern clipper ships vie for the prize: first to San Francisco and the profits that await...but there's mischief afoot.

New horror short story anthology from James Chambers coming out this summer! Great writing, pretty good narration, if I do say so myself.

Shoulda been in the booth for more hours than I was today, but I felt the need to doodle. So a $12 nursery juniper made some strides toward bonsai-hood.
