After another shower of cowards tried to campaign on Facebook for people to stop donating to the RNLI when they discovered that they don't ask to see your passport when rescuing you if you're drowning in the sea, I started a monthly donation. You might want to do the same. Or just a one off.
The RNLI have some of the best people in Britain volunteering for them. They put their lives on the line when they are called on and they will rescue anyone who needs them. Because every life matters, and offering help is the right thing to do.

Ok hate me if you must but i’m solar powered and I bloody love this blazing sun. Coming back from greece to this and being able to carry on sitting out reading a book and feeling no pressure to get eveything unpacked and sorted because it’s too hot to care is amazing.

Can I just repeat that if you think the problems in this country can be solved by deporting immigrants or haranguing trans women you are a fucking idiot and should not be allowed to go to the shops unsupervised, never mind vote.

Ironically the BBC stumbled on a really important story: Desperate asylum seekers being forced to turn to fraudulent fee-charging “advisors” to navigate a system that is intentionally impossibly baroque and from which all sources of free advice have been removed.
But no: they chose Fake Gay Panic.

The BBC undercover investigation into false immigration claims is deeply irresponsible journalism. It does not highlight that exploitation by unregulated advisors occurs because legal aid was cut and the system is insane to navigate.

The Church of England runs on the strength of its volunteers. Without local people giving up their holidays to work with the children of the parish, Youth Group Camp wouldn’t be possible. These are the people who give up their time every week to change people’s lives.
