Thought Leeds high energy and numbers packing the middle may be hard for us tonight, kinda expected us to play 3 CMs.
Just hope Jaissle is not so wedded to 4-2-3-1 as Eddie was to 4-3-3. Don't think we are good enough to never change.

With all the summer change and given the goals we'd lost, I always thought Wissa and Elanga would be key this season in trying to replace the goals and assists we'd lost. One swallow doesn't make a summer, I know, but it's a real promising start from those two. Both look reborn #NUFC

I assume there is logic beyond buying experience but is Hjobjerg not a DM, the deepest of the 3? I thought Miley was due to take on the Tonali 6 spot. I also though Bamba was a DM...

I know it's friendly with plenty missing, but is this a match that tells the club that the squad needs more and fast, or one that tells the fans that this season is going to be grim? Maybe both, maybe neither, but jeez, the vibes are shite atm. #NUFC

I know that the BTL section is often grim anyway, but the stuff BTL on Toon transfers is the pits.

Whilst this Chelsea situation is objectively funny, Chelsea looking for a new manager will not make NUFC's (potential) search for one any easier. I hope we keep any interest quieter than our search for a striker last summer, I dont want to be gazumped again #NUFC

I had worried post Int break, we'd win a couple, draw a couple and lose a couple and head into the summer with no sign of improvement yet no remit to change.
Two games later, and that prediction seemed optimistic. Hope the brains are working on an alt and Eddie gets the send off he deserves #NUFC

Whilst I'm normally in favour of Man Utd misfortune (general), them winning tonight may help #NUFCs chances of sneaking Europe. Either way, I'd be pretty peeved if that was us suffering the 'not getting a pen for a push, immediately conceding, then giving away a pen for a push' shenanigans.
