Growing up liking metal subgenres is such a crapshoot, they either turn out to be the most progressive band in existence (good ending), or turbo-nazis (obviously bad ending), and theres usually very little inbetween. ☠️

Like they wanted this to be a techbro platform, but it’s earliest adopters, the ones who consistently actually engaged and sent out the invite codes when it was invite only, were sex workers, artists, and leftists, and they seem to really HATE that.

Yeah, I get that. It was one of the first series I managed to finish when I was younger. (which was a feat, cause I was busy with sports and school as a kid) but never grew attached to it, say like I have with Star Wars from college and onwards.
Like they SHOULD be an important part of my life, but they’re really not, they have the same level of nostalgia, or lack thereof, as if I learned to read from the phone book. 😅

This. Purely sanitised experiences ill prepare one for the world, a sheltered childhood leads to an adulthood thats spent desperately seeking shelter that often isn’t there, from bad people. Good parents protect their children from the world, they don’t hide them from it, thats the key difference.
Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

Its basically a mix of my two main Star Wars oc’s Lightsabers, with Quinn’s being completely OT/Utilitarian by design, using parts from tools, and Orchid’s being really ornate, the hilt fashioned from the remains of a broken ceremonial sword formerly belonging to Alderaanian nobility.
