Interesting article on the differing healthcare outcomes in the UK and Denmark.
Both UK & Denmark believe in universal healthcare, but principles are not outcomes.

Denmark treats health as whole-society issue: housing, education, inequality, prevention.

UK tries to treat its way out with NHS alone. Results speak.
Denmark versus UK: which country gets more health for their money?
Britain and Denmark both have health services free at the point of use, but Denmark is healthier. Why? Its not just about money

Labour need to be clear. Neither the thugs at Dover nor the mobs at Portsmouth have ‘legitimate concerns’. They’re racist hate-driven violent thugs.

I'm 70, but I still work one day per week. Every Tuesday as I cycle into work, I cycle along a street, where about six months ago, some one went to enormous trouble to zip tie St. George's cross flags to the lamp posts. They are now all a bit tattered, and pink and grey, instead of red and white.

Stranded in Guayaquil: Saturday 14th to Tuesday 17th February. Saturday 14th (Valentine's Day) So there we were, after our wonderful fifteen-day South American adventure, stranded. The fuel leak on the port engine of our plane couldn't be fixed, so we weren't going anywhere soon. The confusion soon clarified. We were given vouchers for a hotel and ushered onto a coach to take us there.

Thursday 12th February –Bird Island We were now eight days in to our expedition/cruise around the Galapagos Islands on the M.S. Santa Cruz II. Today would be our last full day. We had thoroughly enjoyed everything up to now, including the early starts. They were worth it. Every island had been different, different wild life, different scenery, and different adventures. We were determined to make the most of our last day on "Bird Island"

Steve Clarke resigning as soon as the 0.07% chance of qualifying had become 0% was inevitable. It was obvious during the Haiti game that he and this group of players had gone as far, probably further, than they could. The Morocco and Brazil games just proved the point.

My Channel swim is over. Monday the 22nd of June was the final day of the challenge. I met the target that I set myself of swimming eleven miles, or half way across. I carried on but didn't make it all the way across. I managed sixteen and a bit miles. I am quite pleased with my effort, especially considering that at this time last year I struggled to swim five meters.
