It's a Python loop and a chatbot. The people responsible didn't accidentally create god: they created autonomous malicious software and then failed to closely monitor it, resulting in it doing something both foreseeable and bad.

"AI" - chatbots that wake up, "set their own goals," and "spontaneously" start hacking servers - is fake. It doesn't have "a 10% chance of ending the human race." The Hugging Face hack isn't a mysterious, supernatural occurrence.

Once you understand the corporate culture of AI hyperscalers is everyone cooking their brains by locking themselves in the bathroom, holding flashlights under their chins, and saying "Aaaaaaaaaay Eyeeeeeee" until they wet themselves in terror, things snap into focus:

Horrible, even for Trump
Trump called into a local television station a few hours after the 9/11 attacks and said he watched the explosion from his Trump Tower window more than four miles away.

Yesterday, he said he was pulled from Ground Zero that day by first responders.
Watch Trump falsely suggest he was pulled from Ground Zero on 9/11.
What on earth?

Trump is promising to boost the U.S. economy by making it harder for Americans to trade with the rest of the world.

He is also promising to destroy Iran's economy by making it harder for Iranians to trade with the rest of the world.

So wait, Americans pay for these tariffs after all?
President Donald Trump announced a pause on ground beef tariffs Friday in an attempt to lower prices for consumers.

Trump posted on social media that the U.S. will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of beef to be imported over 90 days without triggering higher tariff rates.

I have a trade deficit with my beer store. I give them money, they give me beer.
In his speech yesterday, Canada PM Mark Carney seemed to try to explain to the President what a “trade deficit” is. You’re not just giving another country 100s of millions of dollars…

What a fascinating article about how Duke’s Conservative Union fostered the rogue’s gallery of arch conservatives currently ruining our country
in one decade, duke enrolled stephen miller, richard spencer, the doj lawyer trying to end birthright citizenship, the lawyer in charge of trump's immigration cases, a trump speechwriter fired for going to a white supremacist event, and more
