Amen to this. It does no good to anyone to post something that is fake and then leave it up because it seems like something that could be true. Delete it, and then follow up with a correction explaining why you deleted it.
Please, for the love of all things holy, if you ever learn that something you posted is fake, delete it. Do not counter with "but it feels true" or "it's an exaggeration but people will know that" or any other garbage. Delete fake images and articles. We need to be able to trust reality.
