Bring decency and compassion back to America. Feminist.
For good reasons.

Unfortunately people of other nations don't know the people who run AI.
americans are some of the most negative people in the world on ai.

not because they fear the technology.

because they don't trust the people running it.

A key component of the Cambridge Analytica outrage was your friends subjecting you to data theft without your consent or knowledge. Facebook is running the same playbook on your text messages. Even if you’re not on Meta properties, they’re ingesting your interactions.

USvGoogle Part II.
Been answering inbounds all day but tried to cover the nuance with a full statement here. Happy to unpack it, we obviously need to wait for the unseal. It's a bad take to simply suggest this is a declining biz no one cares about (including Google). It matters much.

What is information, really?

Instead of arguing for a single valid interpretation, we propose a pluralistic view where rigorous alternatives coexist — each with affordances and limits

Absolutely love it.
Sen. @warren.senate.gov and Sen. Josh Hawley have introduced a bill to break up companies that own health insurers and medical providers.

"Love it," says @mcuban.bsky.social.

"They control everything. Literally what those companies do defines the cost of healthcare in this country."

Pissy Gone-di might be the worst AG in US history
"Under Bondi, in the first six months of Trump’s administration, DOJ quietly closed more than 23,000 criminal cases, abandoning hundreds of investigations into terrorism, white-collar crime, fraud, and drugs..."

Mr. El-Erian is always eager and repetitive to accentuate faintest of faintest negative on Chair Powell. Silent on the creator of the so called permacrisis.
Fed Chair Powell was asked if the world is in an era of frequent supply shocks. He responded by dismissing recent shocks as "one-offs."
That's not where my thinking is. As outlined in the book "Permacrisis," there are reasons to suggest that we're in a world of more frequent and more violent shocks.

how is "mayor chooses his words carefully" a NYT story but "president chooses his words like a haunted magic 8 ball on meth" not
Is the premise of this story that the mayor should make lighthearted video content about an ongoing criminal investigation www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/n...

Now we know this was all just an Altman-orchestrated move to steal the federal business from Anthropic. It had no technical or strategic basis.

Trump is a disgrace to America in every sense.

He tried to screw ordinary Americans with illegal tariffs.

I hope there is a consumer lawsuit to recover billions of dollars of illegal tariff collected.

This journalist @jkbjournalist.bsky.social deserves MORE than One million mentions in Pulitzer.

Compare this to pedo president [mentioned more than million times in Epstein docs] who is about to distract the world with attack on Iran

How did America become a travesty?
Everyone must give @jkbjournalist.bsky.social all the things.

Your daily bananas Trump corruption story:

It's about a bridge connecting Michigan to Canada that's due to open, until the billionaire owner of the existing clogged bridge called Trump and asked him to keep the new bridge closed.

Nuclear grade corruption. All out in the open.

Brilliant take! 👏👏👏
A young man at our town hall asked if I was pushing class warfare.

I told him: “We already have class warfare in this country — billionaires are waging war on the rest of us.”

"No answer"... is an "yes" answer to this question

#PedoPresident
Ghislaine Maxwell invoked her Fifth Amendment right today and didn't answer questions about Epstein and Trump, including this one posed to her by Rep. Ro Khanna. But this question must be answered:

ALL of our focus/ire should be squarely on.. people at the top of power chain, who are on Epstein files, who are clearly implicated by victims.

Eg., current sitting (read shitting) President of United States.

Spare fringe figures like Attia, et al who never met Epstein, but communicated with him.

Comparing AI discourse to weather is a great analogy. Love it.

Climate change advocates use weather effectively to make it into a policy issue. Sometimes they win and sometimes lose.

Similarly it will be lot more productive, IF... people who whine about AI use make this into a policy issue.
I aspire to a state of enlightenment where I can laugh at the LLM fail of the day, tsk-tsk the Altman video being tsked, and then go right back to coding w/ Claude. It's not like we're debating a policy to reduce AI use. It's more like deploring the weather, which I can do even as a user of weather.
It is simultaneously true that ML tools are incredibly useful and that many of their most intense adherents are selling snake oil

Hmm.. Don't try to treat a "AI catch all" disease by giving another catch all term.

Why not be precise?
Turing test is the gold standard. All serious journalists must understand it and apply it. It is not as complex to understand as Machine learning or LLM or any other buzz words.

#AI
Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
