I feel like i need to make this disclaimer. Social media is bad for me. I only follow my wife and two artists Ive been following for like almost two decades now. I don't follow anyone else. From time to time I check some tags and that's it. Just don't want ppl to feel like I hate them or smthn. ☺️

It will never stop being funny to me that the street fighter subreddit has a much better, well reasoned ai policy vis a vis literally all universities.

Hi, thanks for posting! We do appreciate you thinking of us even though we have to moderate.

Our stance on all AI generated content (Images, Video, Voiceovers, and whatever else LLM based AI gets up to in the future):

At best, they are approximations of street fighter characters as the AI has no clue what it is trying to create. Because of this, there is no street fighter content so they are not allowed. (rule 1)

Also, they aren't allowed per our source rule. As AI sources cannot be tracked, we must assume that they use uncredited sources in the learning data. (rule 5)

Finally, AI images, video, text, and voiceovers are barely any different than posting a screenshot of a google search. The level of effort is so low that we consider it spam (rule 3).

Because of these reasons, AI art and other AI content is not allowed.

After seeing genAI game trailers appear even before Gamescom, I reached out to a few trailer editors to see how they feel about its use. Derek Lieu gave me this winner of a quote, among many others in the article.

A quote from the article, said by Derek Lieu. "Even without considering the negative ethical, ecological, or legal implications of using genAI (of which there are MANY), I think it's utterly ridiculous to even consider using it in creative works because even a little bit will make people question everything else in the game or trailer. You can’t put a tiny little bit of poop in a dinner and expect people to eat it."

I used to have to scour for hours for commercial free fonts with flair to them but Pixel Surplus makes it a little easier and some fonts are much cheaper. Google Fonts is also another solid option where localisation is considered [ty Noto Sans], and Gumroad for display fonts.
