I fear that we have to acknowledge Macklemore isn't just talking about Ed Sheeran and Pink, he is also talking about everyone with this level of privilege and fame who doesn't speak out, because for them, "safety" is a bubble they can hide behind because they don't like the cost of being "political"

I suspect it never would’ve gone to trial. Most likely they’d’ve threatened mom with the death penalty and “let” her plead guilty to take the it off the table.
She’d plead to a life sentence with no chance of parole. My guess.
