I completely agree. We should be able to enjoy food without guilt. Food should not be negstively viewed. Lets enjoy it! #beh353
Food = fuel AND joy (+ culture, experience, love, etc.). You’re allowed to eat without guilt. No burpees required.

One thing about this week's topic that was interesting was how important it is to prioritize protein. I knew protein intake was important but I didn't realize how essential it was in our diet and the effects of it. #beh353

This weeks 24 hour food recall assignment brought up many thoughts for me! Personally I thought it was difficult to keep track of little things like how much oil I used in a pan to cook my dinner and those little things do count! Overall I thought it wasn’t to difficult though! #beh353

I totally agree! Giving diets a name often causes people to create rigid mental rules around them and have an "all-or-nothing" mindset. I think we should focus more on trying our best to prioritize balance if we want to have a healthy relationship with food! #beh353
We love to give diets a name; people love to create communities around them. People form factions to advocate for and against them. Quite often, this does more to harm than help.

FUN FACT: 9 of the 21 amino acids the body needs must be obtained through the foods we eat. These are called essential amino acids because the body cannot produce them on its own. These amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, one of the body's three major macronutrients! #beh353

I love this! It is so refreshing to see content that encourages us to view food in a positive way and not as a punishment. We need food to fuel our bodies, but we should also be able to enjoy it guilt-free. Food brings people together, and it's a source of pleasure. #beh353

My biggest takeaway from the lectures this week was how important it is to look at the data and the questions being asked when reviewing a meta-analysis. Although meta-analyses are strong evidence, we still have to be aware of elements or limitations that can be missed within studies. #beh353

Hi! I am a Diagnostic Medical Imaging student and I will graduate in 2028. I am taking this course to fill my elective requirement. I am curious in learning the difference between "healthy" and "unhealthy" fats. Healthy eating = balance. My favorite food is a cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream.
