Since they seem to want to still make Toy Story movies, I think the next one should face down 3D Printers taking over bedrooms and printing infinite toys.

One of the first new products that will hit the shop under the new business name is KeyBoy. You might remember KeyBoy from like 2 years ago if you’ve followed along for a while. Anyway, it’s coming and will hopefully hit the shop in time for Christmas!

I’ve decided to bring back some popular products to the shop. PixelLeaf has always been a popular product due to its size and density. I’ll be working on getting some made and in the shop :) www.tindie.com/products/oak...

I tell ya, living in America is so freeing. Where else could you live, take your kids to the dr for things they have no control over, and then pay $3600+ while the insurance company pockets billions. It feels so good to be free.

I think the more disappointing change over time with the AI revolution is the direction Apple has gone. Their choices were palatable for a while, but abandoning the community who bought Apple for the experience is sure to be evident when things turn down in the future..

It’s honestly wild how a new printer will just take the mental log jam and just blow it up with the largest amount of creativity possible. I actually opened 3D CAD for the first time in ages and designed stuff.

** CH32V Trinkey **

This thing is so cute! It's only 1/2" wide and 1-1/2" long. It's modeled after the @adafruit.com Trinkey boards.

It could be used for a few different tasks but I'm using it for my "Adventures of Sara Cladlow" text adventure games.

Since the last batch of Lattice FeatherWing sold out, I made 10 more. That effectively wipes out remaining iCE5LP4K I had on hand. Next batch with see a slight price increase due to ye ole ridiculous tariffs. www.tindie.com/products/oak...

I’m working on a new blog post talking about RPGA Feather. Hopefully I can get it done this weekend. I am coming down with the first take home sickness from my kids school and I have an assignment I’m trying to also get turned in by Friday evening. Woo! 😅

Did a quick price comparison on Kavrous 2-E JLCPCB 6L + stencil against @oshpark.bsky.social 6L + OshStencils. Pre-tariff JLCPCB cost $127.35, OSHPark and OshStencils comes to ~$80. I do like the filled and capped via from JLC but $40 premium plus tariffs just makes it not super attractive.

Apparently STM32 are becoming scarce again.. ugh.. it’s 2021/2022 all over again..
August 29, 2026 at 1:36 AM
If you go on r/embedded and r/pcb you will see tons of people like “my first project, an ESC!” And it’s always been a joke there than ESC are the most common designs people make.

Well, if you read the Kavrous intro I said we’re building a drone… so I’m making an ESC lol.
