I know people complain about lighting in modern films but what is up with the sound? I saw The Sound of Music yesterday without my hearing aids and every word was clear.
Today I saw A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, my hearing aid battery ran out, and I’d say I missed half the dialogue.

I loved this book
One of my fave romcoms of recent years, Our Song by Anna Carey, is 99p for Kindle. In turns funny, tender and with lots of important things to say about how we live now, but also a love letter to those special songs that soundtrack our lives as well as sometimes changing them. amzn.to/4m5LpB8

One thing that drives me nuts is buying off-peak tickets.
Me: So which are the off-peak trains?

I’d really hesitate to recommend a foreign tourist use the railways to get around UK. Unless they are using an Interrail ticket (though there may be issues with that too!)
Buying train tickets is one of my least favourite parts of adulting, but I thought even I could manage to buy a ticket that was valid. I was wrong ⬇️
