Tropical fruits from around the world are grown at this farm on Isla Bastimentos near Bocas del Toro, Panama. Pineapple plants that produce fruit in 1-2 years, miracle berries that make lemons taste sweet, two types of passionfruits hanging from vines, and a starfruit that will ripen soon. #TME2025

What's growing on and living under this weather station? At the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Bocas del Toro, Panama, 10 ft tall metal columns create novel structure in a sandy seagrass bed, forming important habitat for feather duster worms, sponges, bivalves, and fish. #TME2025
