The Editorial Classroom: Teaching Literary Magazine Publishing. In literary magazine practicums, students gain invaluable skills that give them a serious leg-up in future publishing and editing jobs, while literary magazines gain invaluable assistance. In this panel, instructors in these classrooms dissect best practices and pitfalls in teaching students to evaluate submissions, correspond with writers, layout issues, navigate ethical challenges, and more.
