I quaintly maintain that “will anyone be held accountable for the mass murder of children?” is not, in fact, a strange question.
NYT: Can you now say whether you will hold anyone in your administration accountable for the strike on a school that killed more than 100 children?

TRUMP: No. It's such a strange question to be asked. It's a long time ago. Mistakes are made. I would ask Pete Hegseth that question.

Yeah, as a lawyer I don't know what to tell you about "SCOTUS rewrote a 43-year-old voting rights statute to restore the exact holding the law abrogated, which makes the situation worse now than then because SCOTUS's other decisions obliterated the rest of the VRA." No clever lawyering around that.
theres just no coming back from this without a complete tear down and rebuild of some of our most major institutions

The whole thing about Democrats searching for a winning message for the midterms is infuriating because it is staring them in the face:

Rule of Law — People who do illegal shit should face consequences.

For insider trading. For illegal wars. For ignoring court orders. For being a pedophile.

Shocking!
When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.
ICE agents reveal daily arrest quotas and surveillance app in rare court testimony
Under oath, officers said they were told to make eight arrests a day and given special tech to help choose ‘targets’

We’ve seen lots of reports of legal observers being arrested in North Minneapolis, South Minneapolis, and Eden Prairie. Exercising your first amendment right to observe is not a crime.

This is exactly why congress can’t give another penny to DHS.

Why? Because violent misogyny is a highly effective bonding agent among men & it works across all the other boundaries that divide men against each other: class, race, religion, even sexuality.

To build a global elite network among men, the fastest & strongest bond to create is "bros before hoes."

Yes & specifically it shows that status competition in these elite networks isn't based on money, but on impunity.

The ability to do wildly illegal or immoral things &--this is the important part--get away with it.

Serial rape, especially of children, is the ultimate status symbol for these men.
every epstein file drop underscores how elite power operates through shared socio-economic networks, regardless of people's ideological differences, populist posturing, or public feuds
