What The Heart Of The Young Man Said To The Psalmist.

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem

NEW: on Fauci diaries

The story isn't what's in them — it's the method. "Selective disclosure": leak real documents stripped of context, let partisan media run, go viral before the fact-check lands.

Don't ask what's in the dump. Ask who it benefits, and why now. 👇

What a weird way to report this. He is reviled by loons like Rand Paul. A motivated figure who was once told directly and correctly by Fauci that he did not know what he was talking about.
Anthony Fauci has made few public comments about the long campaign to obliterate his legacy—but tomorrow, Senator Rand Paul is forcing him to talk, @katherinejwu.com writes. She reports on what’s at stake:

Or, how many drones can the Iranians get to the Houthis?

I have no idea. But we'll probably find out pretty fast.

As far as I can tell from reporting, there's no breakthrough with Iran. There is only another classic Trump faux deal that leaves us and the region in a worse position than we all were prior to the start of this illegal, foolish, costly war. All hard issues are punted to the indefinite future.

This, plus markets are by their very nature future-focused

The war has to end because it's untenable, unpopular, and unsustainable

It's the whole "Efficient Market Theory" (which I don't really prescribe to)
I see we are getting confusion over why equity markets are not reflecting oil price risk again.

I've said this before but to reiterate, fear of PnL downside is just as significant as reality-based expectations. The perceived upside to betting on calamity is minimal, because it will also mean TACO.
