I read Make the Season Bright by Ashley Herring Blake in less than 12 hours. Literally only put it down to sleep in between reading sessions! This was such a good Christmas romance and has absolutely solidified Blake as one of my favorite romance authors!

I’ve been getting into embroidery lately ( knitting + my cat do not mesh at all) and obviously it had to be book themed! So I started with A Nightmare Before Kissmas by @sararaaschbooks.com which has definitely made my best books of the year list!

I guess voicing it was all I needed. I read The Deep by Rivers Solomon last night. This was a difficult but uplifting read, in that it reckoned with generational trauma but also community and how it can give you strength. This was in my stack for Novellavember and I’m glad I picked it up now.
I think this is the longest I’ve ever gone without reading. I literally have not been able to make it more than two pages into a book all week. Is that what a book slump feels like?
