We can no longer tolerate a rigged tax code that enables billionaires to pay a lower effective tax rate than the average worker & corporations like Tesla & Palantir to pay ZERO in federal income taxes while making billions in profits.
Yes. The wealthy must pay their fair share.

I was on a UK panel today about the decline of the US, and emphasized science research. Europe is not going to swoop in and scoop up talent because they will not spend the resources to do so. A scheme offering 9 million euro a year is designed to get headlines rather than do anything substantive.
Irish institutions must find matching funds and lolol the priority areas. I also love the idea that lots of people will bring private and industry funding with them?

"Seed Corn Must Not Be Ground" final lithograph of Käthe Kollwitz, 1942. The death of her son in WW1 and death of her grandson in WW2 obviously profoundly affected the artist. This print reflects the theme of a mother protecting their children from the horrors of war #WomensArt

Please RT for a ban of pesticides, neonicotinoids being 7,797 times more toxic than the simple DDT is 😡
I did it from Sept. 2023 to Feb. 2024 to save pollinators in my small way.
I planted over 4000 varieties of native flowers on 200 m2 only, applying the Miyawaki method.

We are supposed to be a democracy.
Elected officials are supposed to listen to the vast majority of the American people when they say:
NO tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy
NO cuts to Medicaid
NO more billionaires buying elections

Anyone paying attention is frightened and upset right now but take a minute to look to the West and see the stunning brilliance of Venus and a brand new crescent moon. (Eastern US - farther west look in an hour or 2).

At this time when global public health faces immense challenges, the WHO serves as a leading organization coordinating responses to multiple health crises and outbreaks. The US leaving WHO weakens it and places us all at heightened danger. This is sad.

The thing with these "raw water enthusiasts" is they become my problem when I see them as an infectious disease consult for one of these:
Salmonella
Shigella
E coli
Cryptosporidiasis
Giardia
Vibrio
Entamoeba
Norovirus
Why do they come to the hospital when sick?

Untreated water enthusiasts swear by natural springs, or “raw water.” Many of them are part of the so-called health freedom movement, which opposes vaccine mandates, pasteurized milk and other government public health interventions.
