Just once I want someone to rock up to Castle Dracula at like 7am for their big investigation and vampire staking session. It's always ten minutes before sundown with these amateurs.

Chum (2026) popped up in an ad on Reddit and I thought "screw it, why not?"
Turns out it has a pretty good reason why. Chum is so poorly constructed on a fundamental level it uses generative AI for 90% of the effects and still manages to be boring as sin.

When the war takes all your actors, you're left with talented old men and big ole meatball 4Fs.
Decent enough, but severely lacking in Bela Lugosi content. The movie forgets he exists near the end.

The first plane hit at 8:46 a.m (so 1:46 p.m. in the U.K.) and it took a hot minute for broadcasters to process it was a plane strike. There's a lot of "we're hearing the WTC is on fire... sources say it was hit by a plane" crosstalk and bet-hedging for quite a few minutes.
