Had a child free day on Friday - off to the Lakes, the coffin trail from Grasmere and round Rydal Water. A lovely relaxing time was had.

Back from a lovely week in Sardinia. Real relaxing week, pottering from beach to beach. Slight change from the local beach at Morecambe!

Wife works in social care, so has to work NYE to get Christmas off. So I'm on year 3 off my own NYE tradition which is eating a fuck load of dumplings, putting the child in bed, drinking some red wine and watching a film. This year's film - Cinema Paradiso. It's not awful.

Had a venture to the refurbished Harris Museum in Preston today, which has a Wallace and Gromit exhibition for opening. Hearty recommendation from the family.

Did the Keswick half marathon today. It was lovely, I went under my target time and got a trip to Tebay services in! A perfect day.
