Rodents of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist.

Interests: tabletop & miniatures games / oldhammer / objectively terrible films / retro tech & other assorted useless tat / video games both old & new

Old enough to know better. Seldom does.
Rare noctilucent cloud sighting last night. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen them in person at this latitude.

Anyway, for clarity: I've been on team AC for years!

This is my 20+ year old floor standing AC unit fighting for it's life at this very moment 🥵

Sadly, the majority of houses in the UK use side opening casement windows. Vertical sash windows are really only found in old buildings.

Our choices for AC are usually either floor standing portable units with a vent pipe or a full installation. Window units are pretty rare here.

Remember the last "Commodore Phone"?

Neither does anyone else. This is going to sell just as well. I really hope they haven't sunk all their cash into these things.

There's got to be a better way to make money with the brand than slapping it on a cheap looking phone!

Remember when the last custodians of the brand sold a shitty cheapo phone with the C= logo on it and absolutely no one with a brain bought one?

I look forward to the next attempt at reviving Commodore in 10 years - with another fucking phone, no doubt.

Here, take as many as you can carry - you're going to need them!

Here's a slightly obscure blast from the past: my complete collection of Warlock: The Fighting Fantasy Magazine.
(13 issues; '84-'86)

Penguin published the first five, Games Workshop published the rest themselves.

I'm liking this idea.

I think the Chopping Mall movie poster hand and the House movie poster hand would be best friends.

(Released the same year!)

Today's Sun. White light solar filter. 33 shot stack.

Taken in heavy winds through (tiny!) gaps in the clouds. 😶‍🌫️

TOXIC ZOMBIES (aka Forest of Fear, 1980)

Marijuana growing hippies get sprayed with an experimental pesticide and are transformed into flesh hungry zombies.

This film made it onto the UK's Video Nasty banned list shortly after release.

Doesn't make it any better of a film, mind.

Uhh, did you accidentally create The Stuff??

And for the retro game nerds:

The axe throwing scene was reproduced as a mini game in Core Designs Heimdall in 1991 🤓🪓

Spent this overly-warm evening with a cold beer watching Richard Fleischer's The Vikings for the first time in probably 30 years. Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh.

What a simply marvelous film. 68 years on and barely a single frame that doesn't still look absolutely gorgeous to this day.
