Just pushed my laptop back to give my current commission a critical all-over look before I wander off to eat food, and well... Life is stressful and it's such a hard time to be an artist rn and everything I do feels a little extra fraught because of that and so I can be a little extra hard on me.

Several folks who playtested draft 0.7 of "Eat God" requested that each of the game's chapters and appendices be given a described table of contents in the same way that the Character Creation chapter has; it's my hope that getting slightly silly with it does not diminish its utility!
A full spread excerpted from the core rulebook for "Eat God", comprising pages 78 and 79. The spread's left side is a full-page illustration depicting a quintet of muppet-like creatures joyriding a green Ford Model T through a modern office building while being pursued by cyborg cops; the illustration is captioned "Chapter 3: Playing the Game". The right side of the spread opens with a boxed quotation reading as follows: "A man sets out to draw the world. He cooks beneath the sun, settles his fat in winter, sees fine birds hunted and plucked and gutted, fish leap from the sea to the net, mushrooms sprout from graveyards. It passes through him, and draws itself in the lines of his face." – Aleph, Tales of the Middle Wheel It continues with unboxed text as follows: This chapter includes the basic rules for getting your God-eater into – and, ideally, out of – trouble. All players are expected to be familiar with this material, though it is structured so that you can start with the basics and work your way out. It is organised as follows: 1. Principles of Play (p. 80) covers the assumptions these rules make about how the game is played. 2. Making Tests (p. 83) sets forth the core dice-rolling procedure around which all else revolves. 3. Time & Distance (p. 94) defines some useful terms governing what you can do, when, and to whom. 4. Effortful Actions (p. 96) explains why you cannot do all of those things at once. 5. Stress & Stressing Out (p. 99) is your reference to bad things happening and how to avoid them. 6. Obstinacy & the Rebellious Arts (p. 105) offers an initiation into the God-eaters' secrets. 7. Limit Breaks (p. 108) explores the Arts' advanced esoterica, for those truly determined to get in trouble. 8. Finally, Your Inventory (p. 118) delves into the material indulgences to which God-eaters are prey.

Really nice thread about the point of the MetGala and the idea of fashion as art. (I think fashion is art! And I think the arts often get shat on by people who view them as consumable goods and/or pointless status symbols because they are alienated from the world of making stuff.)

Pierre Bourdieu once argued that the question of whether something is art isn't answered by the artist's intention or even the object itself. Instead, the quality of being "art" is conferred by a community — curators, dealers, auction houses, audiences, etc. 🧵

Once again the power to use my own art/OCs as a portrait in a video game has compelled me and I spent a week making this instead of just playing Pathfinder WotR! (Had a blast testing this in game and actually playing is gonna be my weekend now, lmao!)
